In 2010, Al Fara’a will be celebrating three decades of heritage and a long journey of success, which has been characterised by long term employee relationships, some of which are outlined below.

Sohan Singh, Site Manager, Al Ain, 22 years of service

Sohan Singh, 53, from the Punjabi region of India has been with Al Fara’a for 22 years. He is married with two children. He joined as a foreman and he is now a site manager in Al Ain, working on the Jebel Hafeet Glacier development. His greatest achievement has been working directly with Dr Gangaramani from the beginning and also completing the Al Massa tower building in Al Ain.

He said: “Al Fara’a has transformed completely since I began working here in 1986. We began as a very small workforce and we were fortunate to work directly with the top people in this company from the beginning. I can see this company growing further in the future because our leaders have the vision and the experience to do so.”

Sukhdev Singh, Site Manager, 22 years of service

Sukhdev Singh began his career as a foreman is now a project manager. His proudest achievement was building a villa for Sheikh Zayed in just 45 days. He is married with three children, His eldest daughter also works in the company and he has two sons who are studying – one is at University and the other is in elementary school. He is from the Punjabi region of India.

“Al Fara’a is like a family to me. I joined in 1987 as a foreman and back then there were only five men in the company and we had a lot of work to do. This company has enabled me to grow and I am now looking after all of the sites in Al Fara’a and training site managers.

He has been with the company since the beginning when there just 50 employees: “Now we have many additions to our family at all levels – from labourers, admin and HR staff.

“I am proud to be one of the core people who helped to build Al Fara’a. I feel we have achieved so much during my time at the company. I began my career as a foreman and I am now a project manager. My proudest achievement was building a villa for Sheikh Zayed in just 45 days.”

Mukhashi Khader Khan, Al Ain Area Manager, 21 years of service

Mukhashi Khader Khan is an area manager at Al Fara’a Group, based in Dubai. He is married with one chid. His career began as a project manager in Al Ain and he is now is the area manager of Dubai.

“Al Fara’a is one of the best companies here in the UAE. There are many opportunities for the group in the market. Our advantage is that we have respect for honesty and integrity at the heart of our values,” he said:

“We began with 50 employees and we have grown tremendously. In the early days, we were taught that we should look after our reputation and then the success will follow – and it so it has.”

After three years as a project manager, he was selected for the area manager post which required ten years engineering experience.

“Since I have become an area manager, I am concentrating on procurement and spending,” he said. “In the meantime, I have learned more about the company. During the last year we have come through the recession period but we have maintained our reputation by looking after our staff.”

Mohammed Tarek Sayedeh, Branch Director, 16 years of service


Mohammed Tarek Sayedeh, joined the company as a branch manager in 1994 and his biggest achievement is becoming the director of the Al Ain area. He works as the branch manager for Unibeton based in Mussaffa.

He holds a masters degree from the University of Halab in Syria and joined the Al Fara’a Family after working in the public sector. He is married and has three children.

Al Fara’a is a special to Mr Mohammed because he believes all its various companies hold a competitive advantage in the market. Together they deliver high-quality results to a high standard in record time. This is achieved through following the latest findings in science and in the field of construction.

Since Mr Sayedeh joined the Al Fara’a, the company has gone through many developments: “Al Fara’a started small and began to evolve gradually, and thanks to those who made it become one of the first companies at the state level, we are where we are today. Thanks to management support we were able to implement the largest projects in the region of Al Ain,” he said.

For the future of Al Fara’a and its companies, Mohammed believes applying the correct scientific method will lead to success and progress for the whole company:

“If Al Fara’a and its companies have the ability and knowledge to be successful in the Middle East; they have a chance to compete on a global level,” he said.

Aymun Mohammad Ali Tahoun, Acting Administration Manager, 15 years of service

Ali Hammd is the Administration Manager in Abu Dhabi and he started working for Al Fara’a 12 years ago. The Syrian is married with one child.

He is proud of everything he has done with the company and he says everyone should be a proud employee of the Al Fara’a. He hopes the company will become more global.

Mr Hammd said: “I have pride in the Al Fara’a system and all interaction between staff is based on respect and appreciation. Everything is based on a particular system and built on ambition.”

Wael Ahmed Ibrahim, 14 years of service


Wael Ahmed Ibrahim has worked at Al Fara’a for 14 years as the public relations officer (PRO) for Al Fara’a General Contracting Group (AFGO). He is married and has two children. Mr Wael’s proudest moment was becoming a PRO. He wants to gain more experience in the company.

“In the beginning, the company was small and the number of workers and staff has grown. There are now more projects and is more work to be done,” said Mr Wael. “Our ratings show that we are a first-class organisation. We deliver excellent results and have a first class business system.”

Mr Wael wishes to see the company grow further and to continue achieving outstanding results.

Ashraf Abouel, PRO manager Unibeton Ready Mix, 14 years of service

Ashraf El Showe Abouel Maati Mohamed has worked as a public relations officer (PRO) in Unibeton Ready Mix for 14 years. He studied at the Institute of Industrial Computers in Egypt and is married with three children - one boy and two girls. In terms of where the company stands today, he said: “I like where Al Fara’a is because I like stability.”

When Mr Abouel joined the company, there was just one batching plant and a transit mixer.

Now there are more projects available and the company has grown larger. In terms of his vision for the future of the company he hopes Al Fara’a will win more projects and extend abroad.

Al Hammd, Unibeton Ready Mix Coordinator Dispatch, 12 years of service

Ali Hammd started working for Al Fara’a 12 years ago as a production manager. The Syrian and he is married with one child.

Mr Hammd said: “I have pride in the Al Fara’a system and all interaction between staff is based on respect and appreciation. Everything is based on a particular system and built on ambition.”

He is proud of everything he has done with the company and he says everyone should be a proud employee of the Al Fara'a, which has huge potential, and every day will get better. He hopes the company will become more global.

Ahmed Nabil Mohammed Elkeshti, Manager of Precast Division, 11 years of service

Ahmed Nabil Mohammed Elkeshti has worked 11 years with Al Fara’a and is settled in Abu Dhabi with his wife and four children. Hailing from Egypt, he is the division manager of the very successful Precast division.

Mr Elkeshti proudest moment was when he was the first person to use Precast Base in all the company, said: “In the beginning, the company was small and the number of projects were few. There are now more projects and the volume of work has increased as the times have changed.

Mr Elkeshti said that he hopes precast volume will increase and this will in turn make the company more profit in the future.

Allam Bachour, Division Manager, AFGO, 10 years of service

Allam Suhail Bachour has worked for Al Fara’a for more than 10 years. The Syrian architect/engineer joined as a business support manager and is now division manager is responsible for maintenance in Abu Dhabi. He studied Architecture at Al Mashriq University in Syria and is married with three children.

Mr Bachour believes that the company is unique and that it presents opportunities for staff to develop. “When I joined we concentrated on small projects but then we started to develop larger contracts and increased the number of staff and workers.”

As Al Fara’a developed its specialties, the pace of work has increased which has contributed to the success of the company overall. Al Fara’a has built up a strong credible reputation, based on strong methodology”.

Mohammed Ghazal, Account Manager, 10 years service

Mohammed Fakhri Abdel Fattah Ghazal has worked as Account Manager for more than 10 years in Unibeton Ready Mix. He has a degree in accountancy from Al Balqa’a University in Jordan and is married with three children. He joined the company in 1999 and the first impression, and one which has stuck with him, was that Al Fara’a embraces team spirit which enables it to achieve results.

Mr Ghazal said “Al Fara’a Group has developed itself to become one of the largest group of companies on the state level as a group our production level has doubled. Mr Ghazal hopes the company will expand beyond the UAE. He hopes that Al Fara’a will open several branches abroad.
